Can i strip my hair while pregnant

My personal experience with Oops: I had attempted to dye my medium-brown hair a deep cranberry red which I had done many times before with great success, but I was using a different brand than usual this time and it turned out like total CRAP.

I almost cried it was so awful. My hair was an almost-black, streaked mess, and I decided to try Oops to at least go back to my "natural" color as it claims on the box and then wait til my usual brand of hair dye was back in stock at the store. It worked wonderfully, DID remove ALL the color, and while it did not leave me with my "natural" color, it did leave my hair all one color that was a slightly lighter version of my natural color, that looked surprisingly natural I wound up just leaving my hair alone after that because I loved the color so much!

I will note that I had really short hair at the time above my shoulders and I really layered the stuff on, which could have helped with my successful results Not all hair color works for everyone, though, either Also, please remember that during pregnancy, the hormones in your body can do all sorts of strange things with hair dyes and bleaches and whatnot.

For some people this means their treatment doesn't take at all, others means it doesn't take evenly. Some people wind up with lighter or darker results than what they were going for. I took a chance just tonight and dyed my hair what was supposed to be a coppery-red Not what I was going for at all, but it actually looks very natural and I'm kind of in love with it already!

Good luck! I followed everyones advice! I used the Oops even got help from another person so they could make sure I got every single hair on my head I waited the 20 min with it in; washed it and flushed my hair with water for twenty min It didnt take any color out at all and my head smelled like burnt eggs and urine for two whole days Oh dear god just typed a really long reply and it deleted!!!

Right basically I was trying to say, if u put anything darker on it should cover it but ur own red will still show thru so either have a reddy brown by using a base colour without red and using ur own to add that tone, or use an ashy based brown to neutral use red a but.

Better still, try being a model for colour correction at a training salon or college or get a junior stylist to do it. Any of these are cheaper options and you can assume that they are fully advised before they start your hair.

We train in my salon and the girls have to do a full consultation with client then with me before they start and if it were to go wrong, I tell them why and how to fix it.

Cheap way to do it properly!! Plus, any decent salon would give u a free consultation and price quote along with skin test and strand test esp if you are pg. I'm my experience, home repairs usually end up in the salon in the end getting it fixed lol. Also don't be fooled into thinking city salons are better than the wee one down the road. Netmums-to-be Piriton in Pregnancy. Netmums-to-be Are Bath bombs safe in pregnancy? I dyed mine with my normal shade and brand before finding out I was pregnant and it didn't take at all It was actually one of the first pointers I had that I might be pregnant!

I've done mine a few times since but waited until after 20 weeks and it has taken etc. Stay away from permanent dyes etc and ammonia. Just to make sure I asked my Midwife and she said that hormones could effect the colour and thats about it. So use colourb4 to strip hair colour Your more then fine to do it, just expect if you try remove colours it may go a bit green x And remember you can ALWAYS become allergic to dyes you've already used pregnant or not..
