How does v5 engine work

The cylinders were offset slightly and tilted at 15 degrees. This made the engine smaller and lighter than a regular V6. So when it came time to consider a smaller engine than the VR6, VW did the natural thing and lopped a cylinder off. The VR5 is just like a VR6 only it has five cylinders instead of six. And what immediately comes to mind is the fact this engine is uneven and weird. I have owned two v5's one was a seat toledo bhp remapped to bhp this was an awesome car it beat my freinds 1.

On my way to school there is always a VW Passat V5 parked next to the road. I remember the first time I saw the V5 badge on the grille of the car and I was shocked. I know right I thought that was not the engine configuration, I thought it was like a series or sth. I've had my Golf V5 for over 17years it's at miles runs like a dream the most powerful thing ever.

You may not have known, however, that Volkswagen built a 5-cylinder version of this VR engine.

The V5 engine was built as a 2. This is an incredibly interesting video about an incredibly interesting engine.
